Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
